AIA New Zealand are delighted to announce the appointment of Marc Hale as Chief Technology Officer NZ following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

AIA is one of the world’s largest life insurance companies by market capitalisation with a presence in 18 markets across the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the NZ Chief Executive Officer, Nick Stanhope, and the Australia & NZ Chief Technology Officer, John Lane, Marc will have responsibility for transforming, leading and optimising AIA New Zealand’s IT function.

Marc is an international technology leader with experience managing teams across Singapore, New Zealand, London, India, New York, and Hong Kong. He was most recently the Global Head of Technology Operations for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore where he was responsible for the performance of all revenue generating technology, services and platforms within the Financial Markets business. Marc previously spent time as the Head of Infrastructure and the Head of IT Service Management for the bank. Originally from the UK, Marc’s earlier career spanned companies including Sun Microsystems, Thomson Reuters and Orion Health.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Software Engineering Management from Bournemouth University. He joins AIA in late August.
