Alliance Group, the world’s largest sheep meat exporter with revenues of circa $1.8b, has appointed Kristian Saksida as Chief Financial Officer following a global executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
 
Kristian is currently based in Belgium and holds the role of President Global Shared Services and Group CIO for Solvay, a large global chemical company. In this capacity he leads a team of circa 2,000 staff who, among other things, deliver a wider range of IT capacities, close the books on 350 legal entities worldwide and produce 40,000 payslips per month. His previous role was Chief Procurement Officer for Solvay, being custodian for global spend in excess of €7b. Earlier mandates included the lead finance role for both Solvay Specialty Polymers and Solvay Pharmaceuticals R&D.
 
Qualifications wise, Kristian attended Bradford University obtaining a B.Sc. Honours in Business Studies and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He has also completed IMD’s Program for Executive Development.
 
Kristian is a British and Italian citizen, and will be relocating to Christchurch with his Kiwi wife in August.
