As Chief Technology Officer, David Wills will be accountable for driving ASB’s Engineering and Architecture functions. Leading a large team, David will continue to drive the Bank’s adoption of new ways of working into the everyday activities of the Technology team.

David is currently Group Chief Operating Officer at Gentrack, a NZX and ASX listed software solutions company focused on the energy, water and airports sectors. He was previously with Qrious (part of Spark) as Chief Technology Officer and Xero as General Manager Platform Operations & Information Technology.

Returning to New Zealand in 2013, David previously spent almost 20 years of his career in the United Kingdom with a variety of organisations including Ofcom (the UK communications regulator) and Centrica. David holds a Master of Information Leadership from City, University of London. 

He commences his role at ASB in early September.
