BDO New Zealand appoints Jordan Cole as Chief Operating Officer

BDO New Zealand has appointed Jordan Cole as Chief Operating Officer following an executive search undertaken by SEQEL Partners.
BDO is the fifth largest accountancy and advisory network in the world and one of New Zealand’s leading chartered accountancy firms. BDO in New Zealand has an independent network of 20 locations, over 110 Partners and more than 1,200 staff.
Reporting directly into the National Board, the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the implementation of the national strategy of BDO New Zealand. This will involve supporting the continued growth and success of the BDO network through its national People, IT, Clients & Marketing, and Quality & Risk functional areas.
Jordan joins BDO from MinterEllisonRuddWatts where he is currently the Operations Director, responsible for ensuring that their people, property, resources, systems, and processes are co-ordinated to advance the firm’s strategic goals. Running a sizeable team, Jordan is also accountable for the firm’s risk and compliance program, workplace, and ESG/sustainability strategies. Prior to Minters, Jordan spent the front end of his career with Meredith Connell.
Jordan has a Bachelor of Business from the Auckland University of Technology. He starts with BDO in mid-August.
