BDO New Zealand appoints Mark Watling as Chief Information Officer

BDO New Zealand has appointed Mark Watling as Chief Information Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

BDO is the fifth largest accountancy and advisory network in the world and one of New Zealand’s leading chartered accountancy firms. BDO in New Zealand has an independent network of 20 locations, over 110 Partners and more than 1,200 staff.

As CIO Mark will be responsible for the execution of the IT and cyber security strategy, supporting the continued growth and success of the BDO network. Mark brings strong experience in technology leadership from the professional services sector in New Zealand. Currently Mark is Senior Manager Digital for Crown Infrastructure Partners, a government owned and funded infrastructure project delivery business. Previously he spent 10 years with Meredith Connell, one of New Zealand’s leading law firms, with his last five years as CIO.

Mark commences with BDO on Tuesday 26 November.
