
BDO New Zealand appoints Tracey Cross as Independent Director

BDO New Zealand has appointed Tracey Cross as an Independent Director following a Director search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
BDO is the fifth largest accountancy and advisory network in the world and one of New Zealand’s leading chartered accountancy firms. BDO in New Zealand has an independent network of 20 locations, over 110 Partners and more than 1,200 staff.

Tracey brings extensive governance experience - her expertise and fresh perspectives will play an invaluable role in our boardroom discussions and decision-making.”
Tracey Cross has over 25 years of specialised experience in law, financial markets and the services/products offered within these highly regulated environments. She is a former partner of global law firm DLA Piper, leading its Auckland financial services team for over 20 years. During her time at DLA Piper, Tracey worked extensively to lead the firm’s conduct and culture initiative, bringing best practice and insights to clients, and advising Boards and senior management.
Currently Tracey is Chair of the ESG Committee for AIA New Zealand, Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for Mint Asset Management and is a Director for Tony Mounce Mortgages. Tracey’s other involvements include working with Grounded Governance as a Facilitator, and she is Chair of the Financial Services Council’s Empower Women initiative.
Tracey has an LLB from Victoria University and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
