BNZ Appoints Kevin Kenrick as a Non-Executive Director

Kevin Kenrick is to join the board of BNZ, the New Zealand subsidiary of National Australia Bank on July 1st, following a search conducted by SEQEL.Kevin is currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Television New Zealand Limited, and prior to that was CEO for House of Travel. He has held senior management positions with Telecom NZ (now Spark) including Chief Operating Officer for the mass market retail business division.
The appointment was announced by BNZ’s Chair, Douglas McKay, as follows:
“To appoint a board member of Kevin’s calibre is a welcome addition to the bank’s governance. He is a seasoned executive and marketer with an understanding of industries experiencing significant disruption through digital channels. He understands how it impacts the customer experience.”
Kevin commenting on his appointment – “I’m attracted to industries undergoing transformation and businesses that make a difference to the lives of New Zealanders. Digital disruption will definitely create challenges and opportunities for the banking industry, and I can think of few industries that impact the personal and business lives of New Zealanders as much as banking.
