Carrfields Holdings has appointed Chris Joblin as Chair following a Board Director search conducted by SEQEL Partners. 

Carrfields Holdings is a New Zealand, family-owned company that includes farming, property and agribusiness investments. The business delivers leading edge products and services both locally and around the world.

Chris Joblin has worked for 15 years at Tainui Group Holdings (TGH), most recently as Chief Executive from 2015 until 2024, having previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer for six years. TGH is the commercial entity of the Waikato-Tainui iwi managing a $2 billion portfolio of diverse assets centred on property, tourism, logistics, financial investments and the primary sector. Amongst other achievements over his time with TGH, Chris activated one of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure and property developments – the 610ha Ruakura Superhub. Prior to this he worked in executive finance positions with AFFCO in the meat industry for six years.

Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Institute of New Zealand and a Certified Treasury Professional through INFINZ.
