Comvita has appointed Mandy Tomkins-Dancey as Chief Financial Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Comvita was founded in 1974 with a purpose to heal and protect the world through the natural power of the hive. Today, the NZX listed business employs a team of 550+ globally, supports more than 1.6 billion bees, and is the global market leader in Mānuka honey and bee consumer goods. Comvita has operations in New Zealand, Australia, China, North America, South East Asia and Europe.

Mandy is an experienced executive with a background spanning strategic, commercial and technical finance gained in the consumer, pharmaceutical, health and media/marketing sectors. Most recently she was CFO of the NZX listed carpet manufacturer Bremworth. Previously, she spent three years as CFO of Skin Institute Group where she had financial oversight of 25 sites and teams spanning finance, legal, governance, corporate secretary and procurement.

Prior roles of note include Chief Commercial Officer of Yellow NZ which saw Mandy lead a broad range of functions including finance, sales, operations and business insights, CFO of Villa Maria, and various roles offshore with the global biopharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squibb.

Mandy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland and is a Chartered Accountant.
