DMS has appointed Phil Williams as General Manager Business Development following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

DMS Progrowers (DMS) specialises in kiwifruit and avocado orchard management, post-harvest services, and packing operations. The business has three locations, including two packhouses, and manages kiwifruit orchards from the Bay of Plenty to Gisborne. DMS is recognised as one of the largest kiwifruit management companies in the Bay of Plenty and Gisborne regions, managing nearly 800 hectares of orchards.

Phil brings a wealth of experience in the horticulture sector, with a genuine passion for business growth, leading people, and driving commercial results. Most recently, he was the Horticulture Business Manager for Southern Cross Horticulture (SCH) where he led a large operational team looking after the 650-hectare SCH portfolio.

Phil built his career across kiwifruit orchard operations and grower relationships and spent 12 years in Agri banking at Rabobank where he progressed to Area Manager for the Waikato & Bay of Plenty region. Beyond his professional career Phil has his own investments in SunGold and RubyRed kiwifruit orchards and has held governance roles since 2017.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Agriculture from Lincoln University. He commences with DMS on 20^th July.
