Douglas Pharmaceuticals Appoints Jo Copeland as General Manager Human Resources

Douglas Pharmaceuticals is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Copeland as General Manager Human Resources following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
Douglas Pharmaceuticals is New Zealand’s largest and most successful pharmaceutical company. Founded in 1967 by the late Sir Graeme Douglas, the organisation has established itself as a New Zealand success story, with a reputation for high manufacturing standards, quality products and a track record of incredible growth. Today Douglas employs over 700 people and exports products to over 40 countries around the world. The organisation has sites based in New Zealand, Fiji and Pennsylvania.
As General Manager of Human Resources, Jo will have responsibility for leading the HR function. Reporting to Group Managing Director, Jeff Douglas, Jo will also be an active member of the executive leadership team.
Jo has an extensive career as a Human Resources leader. Since 2013 Jo has led the HR function at Simpson Grierson, a market leading professional services law firm. Previously Jo spent nine years with Telecom New Zealand / Spark in various HR and Employee Relations roles, including time in Sydney as Head of the HR function for AAPT.
Jo has an LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland and a Graduate Diploma in Business (Employee Relations) majoring in Human Resources Management.
Jo joins Douglas Pharmaceuticals in February 2018.
