EastPack appoints Mark Yeoman as an Independent Director

EastPack has appointed Mark Yeoman as an Independent Director following a director search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
EastPack was founded in 1983 and is New Zealand’s leading grower-owned Kiwifruit Post-Harvest company, providing services to more than a quarter of the industry’s Growers. The company plays an integral part of the kiwifruit supply chain; packing fruit to strict quality and packaging specifications and storing fruit to maximise shelf life and ensure a quality product is delivered to market. With six sites across the Bay of Plenty, EastPack has approximately 380 permanent staff, with around 4000 seasonal workers during the kiwifruit season.
Mark is a senior executive with experience in finance and general management in the retail, financial services, technology and telecommunications sectors. He held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for The Warehouse Group before stepping down in 2020. He had previously served for more than five years as the Chief Financial Officer for the New Zealand Post Group which included NZ Post, Kiwibank and NZ and Australian courier businesses. Before that he was Chief Financial Officer for Airways New Zealand for five years.
Mark began his career working on a range of corporate finance matters at Deloitte, before moving to Telecom to focus on an e-commerce initiative which ultimately resulted in Telecom’s E Solutions capability. He continued his move into technology by taking on the Chief Information Officer role at listed software business Solution 6 in Australia, followed by two short term roles which included founding his own internet business before joining SamoaTel, Samoa’s incumbent telecommunications provider, as Chief Executive in 2001.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Commercial Law, Marketing) from Victoria University of Wellington. He is a CPA Australia (Fellow) and a CA with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
