EnviroNZ Appoints Chris Aughton as Chief Executive

EnviroNZ has appointed Chris Aughton as Chief Executive following an international executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
EnviroNZ is New Zealand’s second largest waste management company holding approximately 30% market share in this category within the local market. The organisation is owned by Cheung Kong Infrastructure, one of the largest owners of infrastructure assets in the Asia Pacific region.
In his role, Chris will report to a Board comprised of Cheung Kong Infrastructure executives as well as New Zealand based independent directors, and will be accountable for all health & safety, commercial and cultural aspects of the business. Most recently Chris was CEO of Modern Dental Pacific based in Sydney. MDP is a private equity owned network of dental laboratories supplying dental prosthetics and related services to clinicians throughout Australia and New Zealand. Chris joined Modern Pacific Dental as part of Ironbridge Capital’s investment in the company. During his earlier career he spent an extended period with Ironbridge, after earlier corporate finance and investment banking roles at PwC and ABN AMRO.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, both from the University of Auckland.
Chris will relocate from Sydney to Auckland to take on his new role with EnviroNZ.
