Farmlands Co-operative Society appoints Rebecca Edwards as Chief People Officer

Farmlands Co-operative Society has appointed Rebecca Edwards as Chief People Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Farmlands is a New Zealand based co-operative operating in the rural supplies and services sector. Farmlands was established 60 years ago, with the specific intention of providing competition in the rural retail supply sector in order to reduce farmers’ input costs. 

Reporting to the CEO, Tanya Houghton, as Chief People Officer Rebecca (Becs) will be a key member of the Farmlands Executive Leadership Team. Becs has a background in operations management and people & safety working across electrical, manufacturing, civil engineering, aviation and wholesale & retail industries, most recently as General Manager People, Culture and Safety for Kathmandu’s global brands - Kathmandu, Rip Curl and Oboz.

She has a passion for learning and team development and is a champion of diversity and inclusion. Through a strong focus on “culture and customer” Becs has achieved outstanding results in safety, team education and team engagement, having recently won the prestigious honour of the Australian Financial Review’s Best boss places to work for 2022. 

Becs will be joining the team at Farmlands on 22 August 2022.
