FMG has appointed Paul Jepson as Chief Information Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.
Established in 1905 ‘by farmers for farmers’, FMG is now New Zealand’s leading rural insurance provider. The business remains 100% New Zealand owned and provides risk advice and insurance solutions for farmers, growers, commercial businesses, the lifestyle sector, and residential clients. As a mutual, its members are its owners and profits go back into the business to ensure the future sustainability of the organisation.
Paul brings a broad background in technology leadership roles across the UK and New Zealand, largely in the insurance, financial services, and public sector industries. Currently, Paul is on contract with the NZ Electoral Commission and has been tasked with designing the organisations’ future IT strategy and operating model. Previously, Paul spent time in his native England as Interim IT Director for the Newcastle Building Society, one of the largest building societies in the UK. His earlier senior mandates in New Zealand include GM Technology for the Earthquake Commission, Chief Information Officer for ACC New Zealand, and Chief Information Officer for Housing New Zealand where he led large technology teams of up to 140.
Paul commences with FMG on 1st February 2024.
