Fonterra Co-operative are delighted to announce the appointment of Kate Daly to the position of Human Resources Director, COO, reporting to Fraser Whineray following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Kate is one of New Zealand’s most accomplished and respected people and culture professionals. With a breadth of sector experience covering FMCG, financial services and industrial operations, Kate will strongly support both the COO team’s progress, and contribute Co-op wide as a member of the People & Culture lead team.

Kate joins Fonterra from the BNZ where she has been the Chief People Officer since 2017. Prior to that, Kate was the Chief People & Comms Officer for Fletcher Building, covering 22,000 employees across 40 countries, which followed seven years at Coca Cola Amatil as GM Communications, People & Performance. Kate has a real passion for leading HR teams and developing people initiatives which focus on building capability and enabling strong performance through alignment and teamwork. She also has a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Originally trained in nursing, Kate then studied at Auckland University with degrees in both Science (pharmacology) and Commerce.

Kate joins the Co-op in March 2021.
