Fonterra Co-operative appoints Fran Cook as General Manager Occupational Health

Fonterra Co-operative has appointed Fran Cook as General Manager Occupational Health following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Fonterra is a New Zealand Dairy Co-operative bringing together 9,000 farmer owners and around 20,000 employees globally. As GM Occupational Health, Fran will be responsible for managing and optimising the health of over 10,000 employees across Fonterra’s New Zealand footprint which includes 26 manufacturing sites.

Currently Fran is the National Manager Force Health Organisation for the New Zealand Defence Force, where she leads a broad team over circa 350 medical staff, and is tasked with providing health and wellness services to both military and civilian personnel. Earlier roles of note include Practice Support Manager for Pegasus Health, a primary care network providing services and support to 80+ GP practices in Canterbury, and General Manager Clinical Services at Nurse Maude, a nursing and homecare provider with 1,200 staff.

Fran holds an MBA from Southern Cross University, a Master of Arts (Applied) from Victoria University of Wellington, a Bachelor of Nursing from Whitireia Polytechnic and a Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing from Wellington Polytechnic. She joins Fonterra on 25th September.
