Fonterra Co-operative has appointed Simon Fenwick as Director Talent & Future Capabilities following a global executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Fonterra is a New Zealand Dairy Co-operative bringing together 10,000 farmer owners and around 20,000 employees globally. Reporting into the Managing Director People & Culture, Kate Daly, Simon will assist with one of Fonterra’s key enablers on their ability to attract and retain talented people across the Co-op, and to build the future capabilities they need to deliver their Long Term Aspirations.

Simon is a globally experienced talent leader, who brings to Fonterra a set of experiences and skills that are not normally available in the New Zealand market place. In recent roles with 4A’s, Facebook, Starcom and IPG Mediabrands, Simon has proven his ability to develop innovative talent solutions which transform thinking and outcomes across complex and geographically dispersed businesses.

Simon is accustomed to working closely with regional and country leaders, embedding the right processes and frameworks for the identification of high potentials, subsequent development, and appropriate succession planning in order to achieve individual growth and broad relevant experience. Simon is also known for cultivating external partnerships across search firms, agencies, universities, diversity partners and technology providers.

Simon is returning to New Zealand from New York for the role and will join Fonterra in June.
