Fonterra Co-operative has appointed Suliana Mailangi as General Manager P&C NZ Manufacturing following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Fonterra is a New Zealand Dairy Co-operative bringing together 9,000 farmer owners and around 20,000 employees globally. As GM P&C NZ Manufacturing, Suliana will partner with the Director of NZ Manufacturing and the Manufacturing Lead Team to lead a large People & Culture team across Fonterra’s 26 New Zealand Manufacturing sites and the National Transport & Logistics and National Engineering teams. Key areas of focus will be culture & engagement, leadership & high performing teams, talent, capability, change leadership, systems, technology and ways of working.

Suliana joins Fonterra from Fletcher Building where for 16 years she has been in a range of senior P&C roles across multiple divisions including Winstone Wallboards, Fletcher Construction, Fletcher Aluminium, and Building Products. Her current role is Head of People, Change and Communications with Winstone Wallboards where she leads a considerable team across all areas of people and culture across plants in Auckland, Tauranga and Christchurch. She has a broad remit, spanning workforce planning, talent management and employment relations, and is proud of the uplift achieved in engagement. She has also, uniquely, been part of the team leading the greenfields build of their Tauranga GIB plant and is Fletchers largest plant build.

Suliana holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland. She joins Fonterra in mid-August.
