Fonterra Cooperative Group Appoints Rob McGill as General Manager Strategic Pricing, Global Foodservices

Fonterra is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob McGill as General Manager of Strategic Pricing for the Global Foodservice division, following an international executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Fonterra’s Global Foodservice is a significant business, with annualised revenue of $2b. The Foodservice division focuses on a range of geographic markets and customers across various segments including Baking, Italian and Quick Service Restaurants. Markets such as China are a significant source of products that go into categories including butter, whipping cream, cream cheese and mozzarella.

As General Manager for Strategic Pricing, Rob will report to the Director of Global Foodservices, Grant Watson.

Rob brings to Fonterra extensive experience in strategic pricing. Rob’s early career included time with Telecom New Zealand, before relocating to the US in 2008. Rob joined the global multinational Pfizer Corporation and progressed through the organisation in various strategic pricing roles. In his most recent role based in New York, Rob was Director of Strategic Pricing for Pfizer’s Consumer Health division globally.

Rob has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Commercial Law from Victoria University and Post Graduate Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland.

Rob will be relocating from New York, USA to Auckland in January 2018 to commence his role with Fonterra.
