Freightways have announced the appointment of David Gibson as an Independent Director, effective 1 April 2022, following a Board appointment process conducted by SEQEL Partners. David will stand for election at the Annual Shareholders Meeting currently scheduled to be held on 27 October 2022.

David is a professional director and investor. His current directorships include the NZX listed companies Trustpower, Goodman (NZ) Limited and NZME Limited. He is also actively involved with several New Zealand growth companies.

David’s executive career was in finance with a 20-year career in investment banking having held senior positions and governance roles with Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Craigs, in New Zealand.

David holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury.
