Multinational insurance company Insurance Australia Group Limited, has appointed Chris Trigg as Executive General Manager – Technology Operations, Risk & Controls following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Reporting to the Group Executive Technology, Neil Morgan, Chris joins the Technology Leadership Team and will be accountable for technology operations across the Group and lead NZ business partnering. 

Chris has spent the last three years with Southern Cross Health Society as Chief Digital Officer where he has developed the IT strategy, built capability, driven transformation, adopted emerging technology and embedded agile practices. Prior to this, Chris was the Chief Information Officer at Genesis, and spent seven years at Air New Zealand with more recent roles including Acting Chief Information Officer and GM Group IT Production. A finalist in the CIO Awards 2019, Chris is an accomplished technology leader who is known for building high performing teams, setting clear strategy with a focus on the future, customer experience and risk mitigation. 

Chris commences his new role at IAG in Auckland, August 2019.
