ITM has announced the appointment of Nick Olson as an Independent Director following a director search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

ITM traces its beginnings to 1991 with an early network of around 12 stores. Today, ITM has grown to cover New Zealand like no other building trade merchant. As a Co-operative each store is locally owned and operated. The ITM network has grown to over 94 stores and 24 frame and truss manufacturing plants across New Zealand, from the Far North down to Invercargill.

Nick has served in senior finance roles at Todd Group, where he was Group CFO for six years. Previously, Nick was CFO for some of New Zealand’s most substantial and complex businesses including Transpower (acting), Telecom, and Fletcher Building. In 2012 Nick was awarded CFO of the Year (New Zealand).

Nick has a background in debt capital markets and leveraged finance, and worked for both Credit Suisse First Boston and JP Morgan Chase in Hong Kong from 1998 to 2001. From his corporate career Nick brings significant mergers and acquisitions and debt raising experience in the New Zealand and international markets. In addition, he has led the end-to-end transformation and reorganisation of several significant finance functions, and in 2015 was the interim General Manager of a steel roll forming business based in Australia.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Auckland and is a Chartered Accountant.
