LIC is pleased to announce the appointment of David Chin as Chief Executive Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

LIC is an NZX listed agricultural co-operative and world leader in pasture based dairy genetics and herd management. LIC exists to deliver superior genetics and technological innovation to help its shareholders sustainably farm a profitable animal. With origins dating back to 1909, LIC has a long history of developing and delivering world-leading innovations for the dairy industry.

David is currently General Manager Operations and Service at LIC and has held this role since 2018. Previously he led LIC’s McKinsey transformation project for a two-year period, with previous roles in key account management, marketing and product management. His early career was spent at Kiwibank and NZ Post, prior to a period in the arts including being the Marketing and Publicity Manager at Christchurch City Art Gallery, and also completing a curatorial Internship at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Commerce, both first Class Honours, from the University of Otago. He has also completed executive education courses at both the Mt Eliza Business School and Stanford University. David commences in mid January 2022.
