LIC has appointed Geoff Corbett as General Manager New Zealand Markets following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

LIC is an NZX listed agricultural co-operative and world leader in pasture based dairy genetics and herd management. With origins dating back to 1909, the business delivers superior genetics and world-leading technological innovation to help shareholders sustainably farm a profitable animal.

Geoff will report to the Chief Executive Officer, David Chin, and will lead a team of 170 staff spanning product management for the Diagnostics, Software and Genetics portfolios, account/territory management, national accounts, customer experience/services, communications, brand, sales capability development and sales operations.

Most recently Geoff was Research Director at Ruminant Biotech, and prior to that, New Market Development Manager at data company Analytica. He was previously employed by LIC on 2 occasions including running the company’s Automation and Biological Systems business units. He had earlier joined LIC as Technical and Laboratory Operations Manager followed by a period as Senior Product Development Manager at Zygem. Geoff’s early career was in research, laboratory and sales mandates.

Geoff holds a Master of Science (Hons) in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Canterbury.
