Mitre 10 New Zealand appoints Lindsay Rowles as Chief Executive Officer

Mitre 10 New Zealand has appointed Lindsay Rowles as Chief Executive Officer, following an extensive international executive search undertaken by SEQEL Partners.
Mitre 10 has been a part of New Zealand’s DIY culture since 1974. It is a wholly co-operative owned and operated business with 85 stores, and continues to grow across Retail, Trade and online.
Lindsay joins Mitre 10 New Zealand with over 15 years of executive leadership experience across New Zealand and Australia, specialising in multi-brand retail and co-operative models. Most recently General Manager Retail & Property at Foodstuffs North Island, Lindsay led a $10.75 billion retail business across New World, PAK’nSAVE, and Four Square, overseeing 330 owner-operated stores and a 200-strong support team. His leadership has driven customer-centric retail experiences, brand consistency, and digital transformation, including eCommerce and data-led improvements.
Prior to Foodstuffs, Lindsay held senior roles at Woolworths Australia and ALDI, strengthening his expertise in competitive format development and large-scale retail expansion.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University. He commences with Mitre 10 New Zealand in March 2026.
