Raglan Food Co has appointed Pete Simmons as Chief Executive Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Raglan based Raglan Food Co is a plant-based dairy company founded by Seb Walter and Tesh Randall in 2014. The business moved into a new manufacturing plant in 2021 which has enabled the accelerated growth of a range of premium priced coconut/plant-based yoghurt products in both New Zealand and export markets. Additional product categories include Drinks (kefir) and Condiments (mayonnaise and aioli).

Pete is a seasoned leader with 16 years of marketing and FMCG industry experience at Mars under his belt. Most recently, he was General Manager for Mars in New Zealand, overseeing a diverse portfolio spanning pet care, confectionary, and foods, with distribution across various channels. He has also worked in strategic and global marketing roles at the Mars office in Brussels.

Originally from Dunedin, but calling Auckland home with family, Pete is looking forward to establishing a second base in Raglan where he will lead the Raglan Food Co team. Pete will also work closely with the company’s customers and suppliers from Auckland.

Pete holds a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing management and management and a Master of Business in marking management, both from the University of Otago. He commences with Raglan Food Co on 25th September.
