Ryman Healthcare appoints Di Walsh as Chief People & Safety Officer

Ryman Healthcare has appointed Di Walsh as Chief People & Safety Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Ryman Healthcare was founded in Christchurch in 1984 and owns and operates 45 retirement villages in New Zealand and Australia. Ryman villages are home to 13,200 residents, and the company employs 6,700 staff. Reporting to the Group Chief Executive, Richard Umbers, Di will be responsible for people and safety across the Ryman group, overseeing teams in New Zealand and Australia as part of Ryman’s senior executive team.

Di has a strong background in People & Culture leadership across two organisations of considerable scale and complexity: Lion and Fulton Hogan. She is currently Group Executive Manager – People at Fulton Hogan who employ circa 8,500 staff across New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific. Earlier roles include leading a program of transformational change in new systems, processes and technology at Lion in Australia, and directing People & Culture for Lion Beer, Spirits and Wine New Zealand.

Di starts with Ryman in late January 2023.
