Sime Darby Motors New Zealand has appointed Tim Grove as their new Head of Property.

Sime Darby is a Malaysian based conglomerate with divisions across Motors, Health Care, Industrial and Logistics. Across Australia and New Zealand, Sime Darby Motors is a circa $1bn business operating a number of well-known businesses and brands in the commercial and retail motors industry. These include; Continental Cars (Ferrari, BMW, Audi, Porshe, Volkswagen), Gough/Caterpillar, Mack and Volvo Trucks, Transport Wholesale and TruckStop. 

Reporting to the New Zealand Managing Director, Pat McKenna, Tim will lead the property function of the business. With the recent acquisition of the Gough Group, Tim and the team will have plenty of work ahead optimising the property portfolio for future business growth.

Tim brings a wealth of knowledge with over 25 years’ experience in property. Most recently he led the Retail Property function at ASB and has over 13 years in the Banking sector. Notably, Tim led the branch optimisation project as part of the National Bank/ANZ merger in 2011.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Property Administration and a Diploma in Business Finance from the University of Auckland.
