SKYCITY Appoints Peter Alexander as Chief Property Officer

Today SKYCITY Entertainment Group announced the appointment of Peter Alexander to the role of Chief Property Officer, following an international search conducted by SEQEL Partners. Peter will report to Chief Executive Graeme Stephens and oversee an Australasian development pipeline of circa $1.5b. SKYCITY’s NZX/ASX announcement follows.
“Pursuant to NZX Listing Rule 10.6.1(d), SKYCITY Entertainment Group Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Alexander to the newly created role of Chief Property Officer effective from no later than 18 March 2019. As a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer, Peter will be responsible for the SKYCITY Entertainment Group’s property investment and development activities in New Zealand and Australia.
Peter has more than 30 years’ experience in investment management, primarily in property investment and development, in New Zealand and overseas. Peter joins SKYCITY from alternative asset manager HRL Morrison & Co where he is currently Director Private Equity Real Estate New Zealand. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of NZX listed Stride Property Group, a commercial property investor, developer and investment manager, and, prior to that, Peter led Auckland International Airport’s commercial property investment and development activities. Peter is currently a trustee of the Dilworth Trust Board, Chairman for Homes of Choice and a non-executive director of HLC Limited.”
