Southern Cross Health Insurance has appointed Grant McIvor as Chief Digital Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Southern Cross Health Insurance is New Zealand’s leading health insurer with over 940,000 members. The business is a not-for-profit Friendly Society operated for the benefit of members and is part of the Southern Cross Group which provides private hospital and healthcare services.

Grant is an experienced technology leader with a strong software background across a range of leading New Zealand companies. Most recently he was General Manager of Roubler, a SaaS and services company delivering workflow management, payroll, rostering, and award management services to customers which is 80% owned by MOYB. Previously, Grant held two senior roles within the MYOB business as Head of Technology (Financial Services) and General Manager Technology (Enterprise) where he gained divisional technology leadership experience during a time of significant business growth. His earlier career was spent with Orion Health, an innovative healthcare software platforms business, and Paymark, a leading payments technology company.

Grant holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Manukau Institute of Technology and an MBA from Massey University. He commenced with Southern Cross on Monday 25^th November.
