Southern Cross Healthcare appoints Jo Fair as Chief of People and Culture

Southern Cross Healthcare has announced the appointment of Jo Fair as Chief of People and Culture following an appointment process facilitated by SEQEL Partners.
As Chief of People and Culture at Southern Cross Healthcare, Jo will report to the Chief Executive Officer, Chris White, and will focus on building people capabilities, accelerating the organisations commitment and investment in learning and development, talent management and developing organisational culture.
Jo brings more than 20 years’ experience in Human Resources (HR) and Senior executive roles across NZ, Australia, Europe, Latin America and South-East Asia. An experienced strategic HR leader, she has also led sizeable business units (>$1b in revenue) which has given her unique commercial leadership experience.
As the global Head of People and Culture for Fonterra, Jo led the people strategy for more than 24,000 employees across 50+ markets and has a deep understanding of the challenges that leaders and employees face in delivering todays results whilst also preparing for the workplace of the future. In addition to an extensive and successful career at Fonterra, Jo has also held senior HR roles at both BNZ and Air New Zealand. She is passionate about the potential of people and organisations, which led to her co-founding the FutureWork Studio in 2019, a very successful tech start-up with the purpose to unlock new ways for people to work and learn together.
Jo has degree in Law (Auckland University) and a Graduate Diploma in Business studies (Waikato University). She has also completed level 4 of Te Ara Reo Māori through the Wānanga o Aotearoa and is an Alumni of the Singularity University Executive Programme.
Jo joins Southern Cross Healthcare on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
