Summerset has appointed Margaret Warrington as Chief Financial Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Summerset Group (NZX and ASX) was founded in 1997 and is one of New Zealand's largest and most respected operators in the retirement village and aged care sector. It has 41 retirement villages either complete or under construction, and another six greenfield sites in New Zealand and five in Australia, ensuring a strong platform for further growth.

Margaret has a very strong financial background, including eight years in CFO roles in the public and private sectors. She will join Summerset from NZX listed company EROAD where she was Chief Financial Officer. In addition to her time at EROAD Margaret was CFO at Statistics New Zealand and was previously Summerset’s Head of Finance.

She will be a valuable addition to my Executive team.”

Margaret is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University and a Diploma of Teaching Wellington College of Education. She will join Summerset on 24 February 2025 ahead of the company’s full year results announcement at the end of that month.
