Darren Jacobs has been appointed as Super Liquor Holdings new Chief Executive Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Super Liquor is New Zealand’s leading retail liquor chain with circa 160 sites across New Zealand. The organisation was established in the 1970’s and has been a leading banner group in the New Zealand liquor market for many years.

Darren is currently the Chief Executive of Hunting & Fishing New Zealand, a retail co-operative operating across the hunting, fishing, clothing, camping and outdoors sectors. The business also sources, imports and distributes a range of private label product and is a market leader in the New Zealand outdoor products market with 38 stores across New Zealand. Prior to Hunting & Fishing, Darren spent six years with Foodstuffs North Island and previously Foodstuffs Wellington in a series of merchandise management roles, culminating in the Group Retail Services Manager role. Darren's earlier career saw him gain experience with a range of leading New Zealand retailers including Mitre 10, The Warehouse and Woolworths New Zealand.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University and will be relocating from Palmerston North to Auckland to take on his new mandate at Super Liquor in July.
