Synlait has announced its intention to appoint Paul Washer as a Non Executive Director following a director search conducted by SEQEL Partners. 

Paul is a senior executive with over 25 years’ finance experience spanning the UK, Europe, USA, China and New Zealand. Currently Paul is the Chief Financial Officer of ASX listed PACT Group, Australia’s largest rigid plastics manufacturer with 6,000 employees revenues of $1.8 billion. Paul spent the previous 17 years with global dairy giant Fonterra in a range of increasingly senior commercial mandates including GM Commercial Global Sales & Marketing, Director Group Financial Performance & Planning, and Chief Financial Officer Greater China. Paul commenced his career with professional services firm KPMG before moving to the UK where he spent time with Union Bank of Switzerland.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Auckland and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Otago. The NZX listed dairy company will have Paul stand for election by its shareholders at the Annual Meeting on 2nd December.
