Tonkin & Taylor has appointed Vanessa Stoddart as Chair following a Board Director search conducted by SEQEL Partners. 

Tonkin & Taylor Group Limited (T&T) is an employee‑owned firm providing environmental and engineering services through four operating companies across New Zealand and Australia.

Vanessa brings an accomplished executive and governance career. Prior to her governance career, Vanessa was Head of Engineering and Human Resources at Air New Zealand for ten years. She also held the position of Chief Executive Packaging Australia for Carter Holt Harvey, after having started her career in the legal profession. 

Vanessa is currently a Director for Channel Infrastructure, Waste Management, and the international forestry company OneFortyOne, and sits on several advisory and NFP boards. She has held governance positions with other listed, private, public sector and co-operative entities in New Zealand and in Australia, chairing many People and Health & Safety Committees.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law degree (Honours), is a Companion of Engineering NZ, and an Honorary Fellow of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand.
