Wellington Electricity has recently announced the appointment of Clive Smithfollowing an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Wellington Electricity is a regional electricity lines business servicing the lower North Island. The organisation is owned by Cheung Kong Infrastructure, one of the Asia Pacific’s largest owners of electricity assets.

In his new role, Clive will report to the Chief Executive and be responsible for the finance and technology functions. Clive has had considerable experience working in infrastructure centric businesses including senior roles with Powergen, a listed energy distribution business in Europe, as well as 8.5 years with Transpower and a further three years as Chief Financial Officer at MetService. Most recently he was Chief Financial Officer at the Southern District Health Board in a role that encompassed core financials, procurement, legal, payroll and information services.
