Wet & Forget appoints Murray Waugh as Chief Financial Officer

Wet & Forget has appointed Murray Waugh as Chief Financial Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners.

Wet & Forget is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of indoor and outdoor household cleaning products. Founded in New Zealand in 1976, the company has since expanded globally, offering a range of home maintenance and shower cleaning products across major retail and online markets in the US, UK and Australia. Since 2024 the business has been owned by Direct Capital.

Murray brings a finance career spanning more than 20 years in technical, commercial and CFO mandates. Most recently, he was CFO of the premium wine exporter Yealands Wine Group where he held accountability for the finance, IT, procurement, and company secretariat functions. Prior a two-year period with Spark NZ, Murray built a 12 year career with Fonterra culminating in his role as CFO of Fonterra Brands where he led the commercial function across NZ, the Pacific and cross border eCommerce. His earlier tenure was spent in the UK with leading businesses including Goldman Sachs, PwC and Xtract Energy.

Murray holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration in Accounting & Commercial Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Economics, both from Victoria University of Wellington. He is also a Chartered Accountant. Murray commenced with Wet & Forget in September.
